D&D fan slashes co-worker to death

DETROIT — James Flemons calmly admitted to police that he had slashed his co-worker to death after challenging him to a duel, according to a police officer who testified Thursday.

Flemons allegedly told the officer that on Oct. 27, 2004, he handed his co-worker a piece of metal in a “valiant and honorable challenge.”

Flemons then went to his car and returned with a 38-inch samurai sword and began chasing his co-worker, Anthony Williams, with it. He killed Williams, 46, as other employees at the Peerless Metal Powders & Abrasive plant looked on.

Flemons allegedly said that Williams had been bullying him for months. “I just snapped. I was pissed off and I wanted to hit him with something,” he said, according to Zwicker.

Goons assault Special Cell cops with sword

30 July 2005, New Delhi: Three police officials of the special cell were reportedly beaten up by local goons in Mansarover Garden in west Delhi on Saturday…. “Sub-inspector Negi sustained severe injuries in the head after the goons attacked him with a sword. The others were also attacked with baseball bats,” said Karnal Singh, joint commissioner of police (special cell).

The three cops took refuge in a nearby house. The locals apparently pelted stones at the house till a PCR van came to their rescue.

The Man from Earth

No big names in this one, but you wont find the movie lacking there. The Man from Earth tells a story of a day where a coupla college proffesors have a conversation with a caveman from Upper Paleolithic Times.
I say give the movie just five minutes and you’ll why I liked it so much. Amazing dialog and very real and interesting characters, this movie will have you on your toes running back and forth thru the debate that rages between said parties. The acting is brilliant and the story profound. A must watch.
I give it 8/10 after my first watch. But the movie needs a second.

The Wackness

The Wackness is up for review today. Ben Kinglsey and Josh Peck light up the screen with their antics is they grope around in the recesses of their minds looking for answers to questions they don’t have.

Ben Kingsley is awesome. But I suppose that’s normal coming from an actor of his calibre. I think what surprised me is Josh Peck. The boy is good! I mean after not watching Drake & Josh I think this is a step in the right direction for this young actor. And the fact is that he has done such justice to his role. The maturity he brings to the movie is quite surprising. Hmm.. That Drake chap on the other hand is staring in crap like The Superhero Movie.

Anyway, so about the movie, It’s set in the good ol 90’s. Ykno before cds, before cell phones, before smoking restrictions in offices and shit. We got Biggie and Tu pac tunes playing in the background.. yup the good ol 90z. The story, on one hand follows our man Josh, the regular New Yorker, in the interim period between graduating school and beginning college. During this time he falls in love, finds a sort of a mentor in his Counsellor/Psychiatrist and the dynamics of their relationship.

And on the other hand it follows the Psychiatrists life. It starts as just another Coming Of Age movie, but it isnt. The movie is about making changes in life, looking back and looking ahead, enjoying now and being alive. I suppose the best part about the movie is it doesnt get preachy.

So, in conclusion, full points to the acting and the story line. I award this movie 8/10. Its a great watch if ur in the mood for something heavy and chilled.
